Choosing the Right Typeface for a Lifestyle Blog Redesign
Recently, I was tasked with redesigning the header and feature layout for a small lifestyle blog focused on Middle Eastern culture and travel. The goal was to create a visual identity that felt modern yet deeply rooted in tradition. After experimenting with a few display fonts, I landed on Billah—an Arabic-style typeface that brought an immediate sense of cultural richness and editorial sophistication to the layout.
Billah isn’t just another decorative font. It’s a carefully crafted display typeface that captures the rhythm and flow of classical Arabic calligraphy while maintaining clarity and readability in digital formats. The soft curves and balanced proportions make it ideal for titles, pull quotes, and cover graphics, especially in editorial projects that aim to evoke a sense of elegance and heritage.
